What is the Cloud?

The Cloud is an online storage space that can be free and accessible to anyone with internet access. The Cloud is made up of large servers that contain various amounts of information that users store in it. Google Drive and iCloud are two of the most popular forms of Cloud technology and is used by millions of people daily. The Cloud in many ways is more useful than physical storage by the fact that stored information can be accessed at anytime from anywhere. This means no taking and possible losing flash drives or external hard drives. The Cloud is not perfect however, in the past Cloud users have reported missing data from the Cloud not saving information properly and having data stolen by hackers attacking Cloud web servers.

Social Media

Social Media is a good space where communication can be achieved. People from around the world can effortlessly communicate with one another and share different ideas. Social media has enabled people to reconnect with family members and close friends from the past which was harder to do before any social media was around. While social media has it's good points, there are still negative ones. Cyber bullying and stalking are some things that are caused and occur on the different social media sites in the world. While these issues can be avoided, they are still harmful to individuals and sometimes will give social media a bad reputation.

Internet Safety

Internet Safety is one of the most important things to remember when using any computer. It is necessary to practice proper internet safety in order to keep private information of your own safe and not abused by others. Anyone that has illegally hacked or somehow obtained your internet logins and information can steal from you and make life harder for you. Keeping your information and yourself safe is fairly simple. You can stay safe by creating passwords with various numbers, letters and symbols, not visiting shady or malicious websites and not giving out private information to strangers online. Failing to maintain proper internet safety to lead to stolen money, identities and social media accounts being taken over by strangers.
